This time of the year is a perfect time for comfort foods, like a hot bowl of delicious homemade chili. The Chili Cook-Off competition is always exciting, and our team members look forward to tasting, voting on, and enjoying a great lunchtime event with fellow co-workers.
Last year, five chili cooks entered their secret recipes for a variety of chili dishes; including, a tasty turkey chili, a spicy veggie chili, and a buffalo chicken chili. Participation in this event is straight-forward; all cooks must select a name for their chili entry, the chili is prepared from scratch, and cooks need to submit an ingredients list to be posted on the day of the event.
Last year’s winner, Ann Chavez, states; “I am ready to defend my title and keep the trophy at my desk for another year. We definitely had some delicious entries last year, and I can’t wait to see who tries to take the title for 2018.”
Everyone is welcomed to taste and cast a vote for their favorite chili. The winning chili cook will receive a year’s worth of bragging rights, and the CSP Chili Pot Trophy will be displayed in their department.
