On Wednesday, April 29, 2015, CSP Inc. attended and sponsored Durham Convention and Visitor Bureau’s Annual Tribute Luncheon. CSP was a gold sponsor of this event held at the Durham Convention Center between 11:30am and 1:00pm. This year’s luncheon commemorated the one hundred and fiftieth anniversary of the end of the Civil War and Durham’s role in the nation-shaping event.
The Civil War was a historic event for the United States, and what is now known as Durham, NC played a vital role – the area was the site of social conflicts prior to the war, important events during the war, and major developments after the war.
Durham’s three historic sites are truly a huge part of what makes our region the special place it is today:
During Durham’s Annual Tribute Luncheon, these three historic sites were honored for their role in upholding our regions unique sense of place, as well as influencing the ongoing national conversation about the end of the war.
