CSP, Inc. is excited to welcome Local Start Dental as a new client! Local Start is a new non-profit dental clinic in Durham, NC. Its mission is to provide dental care to those underserved in our region. Part of CSP’s vision is to leave a positive, lasting impact on our community. We have proudly partnered with other non-profits in the region and are ecstatic to support Local Start as well.
In 2018, former President of Affordable Care Dental, Doug Brown, and former Dean of UNC’s Adams School of Dentistry, Dr. Scott De Rossi, got together and realized issues that needed attention. While many patients in the area struggled with few options for obtaining dentures and tooth replacement services, many dental students in training at the UNC clinic in Chapel Hill did not have enough patients to learn denture techniques. This inspired Brown and De Rossi to create new ways to combine advanced clinical training for dental students while meeting the needs of the underserved populations. Thus, Local Start Dental was born. Their mission, “Restoring smiles and confidence for our underserved neighbors while advancing clinical skills of dental professionals.”
CSP has a long history of working with organizations that support our community. We are proud to partner with a multitude of non-profits. Thus, when we learned of Local Start’s mission, we decided it would be a perfect match. CSP is helping with the initial uplift of all IT components in the new office. This includes networking, ISP connectivity, PCs, etc. Furthermore, we will be providing ongoing support, IT security, and cloud services to help Local Start run as efficiently as possible.
